Here is a little of what we have been up to...
30 days of Thankfulness....
Thursday, Nov.1
We are in the middle of Hurricane Sandy's aftermath. I am ever so thankful that our family is safe and we made it through with no real damage. Halloween trick or treating was cancelled in the neighborhoods, so we tried the mall last night. We may have a year with no Trick or Treating, but it's no biggie. Even the kids seem okay with it.
Friday, Nov. 2
I am so thankful for my husband. Chris is wonderful! He is caring and talented and so handy! We have been together since Jan 1994 and married since May 1997. We have our ups n downs like everyone else, but we are in it for the long haul!
Saturday Nov 3
I am so thankful to have a generator. Might seem silly, but after Hurricane Irene last year, we learned our lesson. Our power went out Monday evening, then returned late Tuesday, then out on Wednesday and back on that night, and out again Friday night.
Sunday, Nov 4
I am so thankful for God. He has really blessed me and our family! I am so thankful to belong to a wonderful church! I have met so many wonderful and caring people since we joined this church about 6 years ago.
Monday, Nov 5
I am ever so thankful for SCHOOL to be reopened! My four kiddies missed all of last week due to the hurricane. Most of our area has been with out power. Some areas are still with out power (ours came back Saturday night!)
Tuesday, Nov 6
Today I am ever so thankful to be living in America where I have the right and privilege to vote for public offices. This year is a presidential election, and to be honest, I don't care for either candidate, but I will go vote and let me little voice be heard.
Wednesday, Nov 7
I am always (even when they are driving me crazy!), everyday thankful for my children. God has really blessed hubby and I! We have 4 great kids!
Thursday, Nov 8
I am thankful that I get to be a stay-at-home mom again. I did love my job as a teacher (not what it was when I left) but now, my kids are headed in all crazy directions in the evenings, and I feel more calm instead of frazzled! I also love the little babies that I take care of for their mommies while they work. So I guess I am a sort-a-work-at-home-mommy... hahaha
Friday, Nov 9
I am thankful that my hubby has a wonderful job and it able to provide for us!
Saturday, Nov 10
I am thankful for cars. Yup, my car, my wonderful mini-van! I say that cause we left last night for our vacation to Florida. And my dear mini is packed to the gills with all our stuff and our family of 6! Look out Mickey here we come!
Sunday, Nov 11
I am thankful that we can take vacations! May sound silly, but it's true. :)
Monday, Nov 12
Today I am grateful for technology... and today my hubby jumped into the hot tub with his cell phone still in his pocket! Thank goodness it was made to be waterproof!!
Tuesday, Nov 13
I am thankful that my niece and nephew get a chance to be here on this vacation with us. It does make things a little more stressful for hubby and me, but they have never been anywhere like this and they have been dealt a difficult hand in life so far. I hope this gives them some magical memories to take home with them.
Wednesday, Nov 14
I am so thankful that God has blessed us with 4 healthy, smart, beautiful, usually kind, bright, funny, silly, sometimes stubborn and occasionally obnoxious children.
:)
